Biography
Prof Dr Erol PEHLIVAN was born in Konya in 1959. I am married and has 3 children. I am fluent in English. I completed my undergraduate education at the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering In 1984. Within the scope of YÖK Vocational School project-Bolton University (Teacher Training), Humberside College of Higher Education, I was in England for Petroleum Chemistry education In 1986. I completed my master`s degree in 1987 at Institute of Science, Department of Chemistry-Selcuk University. I completed my PhD in 1991 at Institute of Science, Chemistry-Selcuk University. I was awarded a Royal Chemistry fellowship in 1993 for postdoctoral research at Glasgow University, Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry, Glasgow-England. As a Visiting Professor (TUBITAK NATO-B), I carried out scientific studies at Clarkson University, Department of Chemistry Clarkson-USA in 2003. I conducted research as Visiting Professor at Braunschweig Technical University, Department of Ecology, Braunschweig-Germany in 2010-2011 (DAAD-Project). I continued my scientific studies as Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Human Engineering at Minho University, Guimaraes, (Portugal) in 2013. I worked as a lecturer at Selcuk University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Chemistry between 1991-1999. I worked as a professor in the Chemical Engineering Department of the Engineering Faculty of the same university between 1999-2019. Since 2019, I am still working as a lecturer at Konya Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering. I am continuing my duty as a TÜBA Principal Member.
