Biography
Dr. Mustafa Karaman is a full-time professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of Konya Technical University. Dr. Karaman has Bs and PhD degrees from Middle East Technical University in Turkey. Dr. Karaman’s main research topics are surface science, thin films and chemical vapor deposition processes. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in the field of surface science since 2010. He is an expert in vapor deposition of functional organic, inorganic and hybrid thin films. He also has hands on experience on the production of CVD graphene and carbon nanotubes. He is the editor of book entitled “Surface Treatments for Biological, Chemical and Physical Applications” (Wiley), which was published in 2017. Besides being the PI of many national and international projects, Dr. Karaman has founded a start-up company “MCM Ar-Ge” in 2015 at Konya Science Park, where he aimed to commercialize the functional high-tech materials originated from his research laboratory.
