| dc.description.abstract | This paper presents to determine urban sprawl boundaries and the factors of affecting farmland value in urban sprawl. Urban sprawl index is calculated to identify its boundaries and Analytic Hierarchic Process Method is used for determined to weight for the factors. By using these weights in the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, the value map is created. We illustrate that the farmlands in urban sprawls lost their properties and transformed into urban lands. The analyses revealed that farm criteria have no effect on the lands in urban sprawl. Both urban and rural solutions should be improved in order to prevent the abuse of fertile farmlands that occurred as a result of urban sprawl. | en_US |
