Biography
D. Erdirencelebi has completeted her bachelor`s and PhD degrees in Environmetal Engineering Dept of Istanbul Technical University and Master`s degree in Environmetal and Water Resources Engineering Dept. at Vanderbilt University (TN, USA). She has been involved in the anaerobic treatment process applications since her graduate study with R.E. Speece as her academic advisor. Toxicity, modelling, and optimization studies for various types of wastewaters were published in national and international journals. She has conducted national research projects in anaerobic treatment of industrial wastewaters and biological short-cut nitrogen removal from high-ammonia containing side line wastewater in Konya municipal wastewater treatment plant. Currently, she has been conducting research on municipal WWTP upgrading with a special focus on sludge line and energy recovery.
