| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | 3D concrete printing technology offers solutions to problems such as high costs, low labor productivity, high occupational accident rates, workmanship defects, high energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions faced by the construction industry. With this thesis, it is aimed to improve the fresh state and mechanical properties of mortars to be used for 3D printing. Within the scope of this purpose, cellulose nanofibers obtained from the green alga Cladophora, which is abundant especially in Turkey and causes environmental pollution and animal deaths when not recycled, cellulose nanocrystals obtained from pine tree and welan gum, a viscosity regulator additive, were used. Slump flow, viscometer, green strength, compression and bending tests were carried out on the prepared mortars. Viscosity, yield stress and thixotropy values were obtained using the Bingham model. According to the results obtained, the cellulose nanofiber additive increased the yield stress by about 6 times and the thixotropic property by about 48 times compared to the reference sample. Cellulosic nanofiber additive showed the best result in terms of fresh state strength and could carry a load of 50 N. In terms of bending and compressive strength, cellulose nanocrystal additive showed the best performance and increased the bending strength by 6% and compressive strength by 10%. | en_US |
