Taşınmaz kültür varlığı olarak tarihi hamamların yeniden işlevlendirilmesinin değerlendirilmesi: Bursa örneği

Abstract

Tarihi yapılar, insanlık tarihindeki dönemsel gelişmelerin izlerini taşıyan ve geçmiş toplumların ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel birikimlerini belgeleyen önemli yapılar arasında yer alır. Bu yapılar, mimari tarzlarıyla o dönemin estetik anlayışını yansıtırken, içerdikleri mekanlar ve kullanılan malzemeler ile de o dönemin yaşam biçimlerini ve teknolojik seviyeyi gösterirler. Koruma ve restorasyon süreçleri, bu tarihi yapıların mirasımızdaki önemini korumak için büyük önem taşır. Özellikle günümüzde, tarihi yapıların sürdürülebilir bir şekilde kullanılması ve değerlendirilmesi ön plana çıkmaktadır. Birçok tarihi yapı, özgün işlevini yitirdiği için âtıl durumda kalmaktadır. Ancak bu yapıların yeniden işlevlendirilmesi, sadece fiziksel olarak korunmalarını sağlamakla kalmaz, aynı zamanda kültürel mirasımızın yaşatılmasına da katkı sağlar. Yeni bir işlev kazanan tarihi yapılar, genellikle ekonomik, kültürel ve sosyal açıdan da önemli bir canlanma ve katkı sağlarlar. Bu nedenle, tarihi yapıların sürdürülebilir bir şekilde kullanılması ve korunması hem kültürel mirasımızın devamlılığını sağlar hem de çeşitli ekonomik ve sosyal faydalar sunar. Bu çalışmada, tarihi hamam yapılarının yeniden işlevlendirme sürecinin detaylı bir analizi yapılarak, bu yapıların sürdürülebilirliği ve mekânsal dönüşümleri üzerine değerlendirmeler yapılacaktır. Bu çalışma 5 ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde hamam kavramı, hamam mimarisinin tarihçesi, Türk hamamında yer alan mekanlar ve plan şemaları anlatılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde Bursa'nın merkezinde mevcutta olan hamam yapıların özgün planları, güncel planları ve geçirdiği müdahaleler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde Bursa'nın merkez ilçelerinde yeni işlev verilen 8 hamam yapısı (Cık Cık Hamamı, Mahkeme Hamamı, Nalıncılar Hamamı, Ördekli Hamamı, Perşembe Hamamı, Şengül Hamamı, Tavukpazarı Hamamı, Umurbey Hamamı) incelenmiş, müdahalelerin tespiti ve sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda hamam yapılarının yeniden işlevlendirme sonrasında ekonomik, kültürel, sosyal açıdan sürdürülebilirliği ve mekânsal dönüşümleri analiz edilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde ise; tüm veriler doğrultusunda işlev verme konusu tekrar ele alınmış, korunması gerekli taşınmaz kültür varlıklarına yapılan uygulamalar ve sonuçları neden-sonuç ilişkisi etrafında irdelenmiştir. Oluşturulan sonuçlar çerçevesinde çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.

Historical buildings are among the important structures that bear the traces of periodic developments in human history and document the economic, social and cultural accumulation of past societies. While these buildings reflect the aesthetic understanding of that period with their architectural styles, they also show the lifestyles and technological level of that period with the spaces they contain and the materials used. Conservation and restoration processes are of great importance to preserve the importance of these historical structures in our heritage. Especially today, the sustainable use and evaluation of historical buildings comes to the fore. Many historical buildings remain idle because they have lost their original function. However, re-functioning of these structures not only ensures their physical preservation, but also contributes to the survival of our cultural heritage. Historical buildings that gain a new function generally provide a significant revival and contribution in economic, cultural and social terms. Therefore, the sustainable use and preservation of historical buildings both ensures the continuity of our cultural heritage and offers various economic and social benefits. In this study, a detailed analysis of the refunctioning process of historical bath structures will be made and evaluations will be made on the sustainability and spatial transformation of these structures. This study consists of 5 main sections. In the first section, information about the purpose, scope and method of the study is given. In the second part, the concept of bath, the history of bath architecture, the spaces in the Turkish bath and the plan schemes are explained. In the fourth chapter, information is given about the original plans, current plans and interventions of the existing bath structures in the center of Bursa. In the fourth chapter, 8 bath structures that were given new functions in the central districts of Bursa (Cık Cık Bath, Court Bath, Nalıncılar Bath, Ördekli Bath, Thursday Bath, Şengül Bath, Tavukpazarı Bath, Umurbey Bath) were examined and the detection and results of the interventions were evaluated. In this context, the economic, cultural, social sustainability and spatial transformations of the bath structures after refunctioning were analyzed. In the fifth chapter; In line with all the data, the issue of giving functions has been reconsidered, and the practices applied to immovable cultural assets that need to be protected and their results have been examined around the cause-effect relationship. Solution suggestions were presented within the framework of the results obtained.
