Sürrealist mekân algısının tiyatro mekânları üzerinden irdelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sürrealizm akımının mimariye doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak yansımaları yapılar ve tiyatro mekanları üzerinden incelenmiştir.İlkçağlardan beri insanlar mekanlar oluşturup, o mekanlarda deneyim elde etmişlerdir. Mekan algısının önemi ve mekanların insanlar üzerindeki etkisi üzerine kuramcılar ve mimarlar tarafından birçok araştırma yapılmıştır. Sanayi devriminin ve seri üretimin ardından modernizmle gelen kentleşme ve hızlı yapılanma süreci mimaride teknik anlamda büyük sıçramalara yol açmasına rağmen mimarinin insan hafızası üzerine etki eden ve tasarımı doğrudan etkileyen kavramsal boyutlarında boşluklara yol açmaktadır. Sürrealizmin temelinde yatan; kavramları, sanatı ve mimariyi sorgulamak üzerine kurulmuş ilkelerinden faydalanarak bilinçaltına yönelmek ve bu yönelmelerden mimarinin kullanıcılar üzerindeki etkisini ortaya çıkarmak günümüz ve ilerleyen çağlar için giderek daha çok önem kazanmaktadır. Çalışmada sınırlı olan insan bedeni ve algısının, sınırsız bir bilinçaltıyla bütünleşerek mekânın deneyimlenmesi, bu deneyimler yoluyla mimariye sürrealist bir gözlükten bakarak kullanıcıyı doğrudan etkileyen ve çok boyutlu olarak anı yaşatan tiyatro mekanları ele alınmıştır. Tiyatro yapıları antik çağlardan günümüze kadar kenti oluşturan sokak, meydan, peyzaj gibi ana mimari oluşumları etkileyerek şehir mimarisine yön vermiştir. Tiyatro yapılarında sahnelenen oyunlar ve kentteki kamusal rolüyle kent belleğini politik, ideolojik ve kültürel birçok yönden etkileyerek dijital ve teknolojik anlamda yenilikleri ilk önce takip eden mimari yapılar olmuşlardır. Yaşadığımız toplumun mimari mekân algısı bu etkileşimle doğrudan ilişkilendirilebilir. Çalışma kapsamında mekânsal anlatı tiyatro mekânları üzerinden incelenerek mimarlık, tiyatro ve sürrealizm sentezinin kente ve mimarisine yansımaları örneklerle açıklanmıştır.

In this study, the direct and indirect reflections of the surrealism movement on architecture were examined through buildings and theater spaces. Since ancient times, people have created spaces and gained experience in those spaces. A lot of research has been done by theorists and architects on the importance of space perception and the effect of spaces on people. Although the urbanization and rapid structuring process that came with modernism after the industrial revolution and mass production led to great leaps in architecture in terms of technique, it leads to gaps in the conceptual dimensions of architecture that affect human memory and directly affect design. The basis of surrealism; It is becoming more and more important for today and the following ages to turn to the subconscious by taking advantage of the principles established on questioning concepts, art and architecture and to reveal the effect of architecture on users from these orientations. In the study, the limited human body and perception, the experience of the space by integrating with an unlimited subconscious, the theater spaces that directly affect the user by looking at the architecture from a surrealist lens through these experiences and keep the memory alive in a multidimensional way are discussed. Theater structures have shaped the city architecture by influencing the main architectural formations such as streets, squares and landscapes that make up the city from ancient times to the present. With the plays staged in theater buildings and their public role in the city, they have been the first architectural structures to follow the innovations in digital and technological terms, by influencing the urban memory in many political, ideological and cultural aspects. The architectural space perception of the society we live in can be directly related to this interaction. Within the scope of the study, the spatial narrative was examined through the theater spaces and the reflections of the synthesis of architecture, theater and surrealism on the city and its architecture were explained with examples.
