Abstract

The Pınarbaşı porphyry Cu-Mo mineralization is located at the western part of Anatolia and in southern part of the İzmir-Ankara suture zone. The Pınarbaşı porphyry Cu-Mo mineralization hosted in the Early Miocene Pınarbaşı granitoidic intrusion consisting of granite, granodiorite, quartz monzonite and granite porphyry, composes of molybdenite, chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite, pyrite as mainly ore minerals and they are accompanied by chalcocite, covellite, bornite, malachite, orpiment, realgar, Fe-oxides, gangue quartz, and calcite. The Pınarbaşı Cu-Mo mineralization contains substantial quantities of Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, Au, Ag and As. The δ34SH2S values (0.6 to 4.5‰) of sulfides (molybdenite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and galena) suggest a magmatic origin for the ore-forming fluids.
Pınarbaşı porfiri Cu-Mo cevherleşmesi, Batı Anadolu’da İzmir-Ankara sütur zonunun güney bölümünde yer almaktadır. Granit, granodiyorit, kuvars monzonit ve granit porfirden oluşan Erken Miyosen yaşlı Pınarbaşı granitoyidik intrüzyonu içerisinde yer alan Pınarbaşı Cu-Mo cevherleşmesi içerisinde ana cevher minerallerini molibdenit, kalkopirit, galenit, sfalerit ve pirit oluştururken kalkosin, kovellin, bornit, malahit, orpiment, realgar, Fe-oksitler, gang kuvars ve kalsit bu minerallere eşlik etmektedir. Pınarbaşı Cu-Mo cevherleşmesi önemli miktarlarda Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, Au, Ag ve As içermekte olup sülfitli minerallerin (molibdenit, kalkopirit, pirit ve galenit) δ34SH2S değerleri (‰ 0.6 - 4.5) cevher oluşturan akışkanlar için magmatik kökene işaret etmektedir.
