Department 07. 15. Department of MachineryMachine Program at the technician level, design and manufacturing methods, technical drawing, material information, hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering, etc. It trains machine technicians who can manufacture and assemble machine parts with conventional and modern machine tools, machining and chipless manufacturing methods, who can make computer-aided design with the experience of vocational courses. The program is a 2-year associate degree program. It consists of 4 semesters. Each semester, a total of 15 weeks are taught. In addition, there are 2 internship periods of 30 days each.Department 07. 12. Department of Electronics and AutomationThe Department of Electronics and Automation aims to train electronic technicians that can adapt to the technological developments in electronics, who have gained scientific and technical knowledge, who have the ability to solve problems related to their field, and who can plan and execute the stages of design, development, maintenance, repair, production and implementation. It is an associate degree program that aims to aims to furnish the graduates with professional and academic qualifications. In order to graduate from this associate degree program, students must be successful in all courses in the program curriculum and must have at least 120 ECTS credits, and must complete 2 compulsory workplace internships (Industry Based Education-IBE) consisting of 30 working days. Students are trained for 2 years (4 terms) in this program. Assessment and Evaluation process is based on Konya Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Exam Regulations. In-class activities are carried out by the academic staff by transferring them to the students at the beginning of the semester. Graduates of the program can work as electronic technicians at such public and private sectors in the field of electronic communication as television and radio channels, telephone operator companies, companies serving in the field of data communication, electronic companies manufacturing communication devices, and many other institutions and organizations’ design development, maintenance, repair, production and application stages. Students can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) held by OSYM every year and continue their undergraduate education by transferring to the faculties related to their field indicated in DGS catalogue.Department 07. 18. Department of Materials and Material Handling Technologies Furniture and DecorationThey have learned and assimilated the relevant concepts, terminology, materials and production technologies in the field of Furniture and Decoration, have the ability to recognize and apply new systems needed in this sector, have the skills to solve the problems that may arise in planning and production, design new methods and models, meet the needs of the sector quickly. To train technical personnel who can take part in occupational health and safety, quality assurance, product and system design, production planning and production systems. Department of Nuclear Technology and Radiation SafetyNuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program provides the necessary knowledge and technical skills training to work in areas requiring nuclear technology applications such as radiation protection, radiological safety communication, personnel dosimetry, shielding/activation, safety and hygiene, measurement, instrumentation, nuclear plant systems, biological effects of radiation The duration of the program is 2 years and the students make 30-day industry-based training at the end of each academic year. Students who have graduated from the Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program will have the opportunity to find jobs in the future of nuclear power plants, radioisotope production centers, public and private hospitals, national testing laboratories, dosimetry laboratories, medical, decontamination and discharging facilities and university research facilities working with radioactive substances.Department 07. 20. Department of Property Protection and SecurityOccupational Health and Safety; It is a multidisciplinary program that combines health, science, law and management studies with practical skills developed through job site visits and industry experience. It teaches scientific approaches to identify, evaluate and control chemical, physical and biological hazards that may adversely affect workers. You will also learn about psychosocial health factors such as stress, bullying, harassment and fatigue. Your studies are equipped with knowledge, skills and initiatives in the fields of occupational hygiene, workplace rehabilitation, ergonomics, safety and occupational health and safety management. This section was needed because the purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety program was to have technically responsible persons for occupational safety in workplaces. The responsible engineer or occupational safety specialist for Occupational Safety is responsible for the safety of that workplace. It is obligatory to have occupational safety specialists in business and industrial establishments where at least 50 people work for more than 6 months. When you graduate from this department, you can make an agreement with more than one company in the private sector.
