Department 07. 14. Department of Machine Drawing and ConstructionMachine Drawing Construction Program at the technician level, design and manufacturing methods, technical drawing, material information, hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering, etc. It trains machine drawing and construction technicians who can manufacture and assemble machine parts with conventional and modern machine tools, machining and chipless manufacturing methods, who can make computer-aided design with the experience of vocational courses. The program is a 2-year associate degree program. It consists of 4 semesters. Each semester, a total of 15 weeks are taught. In addition, there are 2 internship periods of 30 days each.Department 07. 05. Department of Clothing Production TechnologyIn the Clothing Production Technology program, it is aimed to be able to choose and effectively use modern techniques, tools and information technologies necessary for applications related to clothing production. It is important to gain the ability to design using computer aided pattern drawing, clothing modeling programs, to select systems and components related to the field using various software, to make basic sizing calculations, to draw production-oriented projects and details. Our programs aim to train technicians who can adapt to technological developments in their field, have the ability to solve problems related to their field, plan and implement the stages of design development, production and implementation, and gain scientific, artistic and technical knowledge. Our vision is to be a nationally and internationally recognized and respected department that provides education and training in a way that can respond to the demands of public institutions and the private sector by following up-to-date designs and requests, and offering its graduates to the service of the country and humanity. Our mission is to train competent technicians in the field of international standards, through quality education, required by the national and international industry, connected to the ethical values required by the profession, equipped with knowledge, able to use technology effectively and renew themselves, and have the ability to reach and produce information and design. Candidates are entitled to enroll in our programs depending on the quota, if they have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS). Associate degree programs that Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institution graduates can be placed with additional points are explained in the HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS EXAM (YKS) GUIDE. Students graduate from the program by completing 120 ECTS credits. In addition, at the end of the 2nd and 4th semesters, they have to do their internship, each of which consists of 30 working days. Graduates of the program can work as technicians in the fields of Footwear, Leather, Textile and Clothing in factories belonging to the public and private sectors, in design centers, in many institutions and organizations with a corporate structure, during the design development, production and application stages. When students complete their associate degree education, they can continue their undergraduate education by entering the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) held every year by OSYM and transferring to the faculties related to their fields specified in the DGS catalogue.Department 07. 13. Department of ElectricElectrical program in the normal education and the second education is given as a 2-year education and graduates of the program win the title of “Electrical Technician”. The students make 30-day industry-based training at the end of each academic year. Students who have graduated from the electrical program have the opportunity to find jobs in different departments such as electrical technicians in official departments, project drawing and application engineering companies, software and panel design applications, automation companies, electrical energy transmission and distribution companies. In addition, they have the right to pass the 4-year undergraduate programs determined by the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). In electricity program, there are 3 laboratory where the practical lessons such as Control Systems, Winding Technique, Electrical Machines, Measuring Technique, Programmable Controllers and SCADA Systems is done. These laboratories have many experimental sets and measurement tools that all of students can practice. There is a dynamic structure on the basis of the current technological issues required by the industry, and the curriculum update is based on the technological developments. Under this general objective, an education environment has been created in which students are taught the right ways to get the right information, pratical and theoretical knowledge are combined in technical subjects, and active participation of our students in the educational environment is provided. In addition to technical and vocational training, students have adopted an educational approach to help them in DGS exam and professional subjects in Mathematics and Turkish Language courses. Department of Construction TechnologyThe aim of the department is to train qualified technicians who have absorbed the concepts and principles related to Construction Technologies, who can transform the necessary designs of the architectural and reinforced concrete static projects and their knowledge and experience into practical applications, who are entrepreneurial, productive, respectful to people and the environment, and open to social and technological innovations, who have the skills to act as a bridge between architects, civil engineers and workers and have the skills to ensure that the manufacturing is done in accordance with the relevant standards and earthquake regulations, and who have the knowledge to ensure that all kinds of manufacturing is done in the construction sector in accordance with the technique and to control this process, and who can take part in public and private sectors.Department 07. 16. Department of Machinery and Metal TechnologiesIn our department, the education is provided in three different programs: Machine, Machine Drawing and Construction and Agricultural Machinery Program. These programs educate machine technicians who can create computer aided design with the knowledge and skills of vocational courses such as design and manufacturing methods, technical drawing, material knowledge, hydraulic and pneumatic, engineering, agricultural machinery etc., and who can manufacture and assemble machine parts with conventional and modern machine tools, machining and chipless manufacturing methods. Department of Property Protection and SecurityOccupational Health and Safety; It is a multidisciplinary program that combines health, science, law and management studies with practical skills developed through job site visits and industry experience. It teaches scientific approaches to identify, evaluate and control chemical, physical and biological hazards that may adversely affect workers. You will also learn about psychosocial health factors such as stress, bullying, harassment and fatigue. Your studies are equipped with knowledge, skills and initiatives in the fields of occupational hygiene, workplace rehabilitation, ergonomics, safety and occupational health and safety management. This section was needed because the purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety program was to have technically responsible persons for occupational safety in workplaces. The responsible engineer or occupational safety specialist for Occupational Safety is responsible for the safety of that workplace. Persons with the knowledge, skills and abilities to assume all responsibility for safety in the workplace may prefer this department. Students who will choose this department should be people who follow the laws, will inform while following the newly issued consents about occupational safety, and act in accordance with professional ethical rules. When you graduate from the program, you will be able to follow the information obtained in the field of work and worker safety, use technology effectively, have moral and professional values, and have sufficient knowledge and awareness. Students who graduate from the Occupational Health and Safety department as an associate degree can find a place for themselves in institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors as "Occupational Health and Safety Technician". It is obligatory to have occupational safety specialists in business and industrial establishments where at least 50 people work for more than 6 months. When you graduate from this department, you can make an agreement with more than one company in the private sector. Furthermore, students can take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) held by ÖSYM every year and if they are successful in this exam, they can continue their undergraduate education by transferring to the faculties related to their field indicated in DGS catalogue. With DGS, they can continue their education in the departments of relevant faculties such as Occupational Health and Safety, Emergency and Disaster Management, Business, Health Management, Social Services and International Business Management.Department 07. 19. Department of Nuclear Technology and Radiation SafetyNuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program provides the necessary knowledge and technical skills training to work in areas requiring nuclear technology applications such as radiation protection, radiological safety communication, personnel dosimetry, shielding/activation, safety and hygiene, measurement, instrumentation, nuclear plant systems, biological effects of radiation The duration of the program is 2 years and the students make 30-day industry-based training at the end of each academic year. Students who have graduated from the Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program will have the opportunity to find jobs in the future of nuclear power plants, radioisotope production centers, public and private hospitals, national testing laboratories, dosimetry laboratories, medical, decontamination and discharging facilities and university research facilities working with radioactive substances.
