Bionanocomposites have gained a great interest from researchers as they offer remarkable properties to be used in different fields, including biology, materials science, chemistry, and nanotechnology. However, it is well known that the specific application can only be determined if their structure is illuminated at the atomic level. This chapter describes a brief overview of some spectroscopic and morphologic characterization techniques to understand the morphology, microstructure, and intermolecular interactions of bionanocomposites. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd All rights reserved.en_US
