Abstract
Dünya’da beton katkı malzemeleri 1870’li yıllarda araştırılmaya başlanmıştır. 1930’lı yılların başından itibaren su azaltıcı katkılar ile ilgili araştırmalar yapılmaya başlamıştır. Bu tür katkılar 1940-1960 yılları arasında beton karışımlarında kullanılmış olsa da nasıl bir etki yarattığı tam olarak bilinmediği için yaygınlaşmamıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar; beton karışımına eklenen katkı malzemelerinin belirlenmiş oranlarda ilave edilmemesinin, betonun dayanım, dayanıklılık gibi mekanik özelliklerinin yanı sıra, priz süresi, çökme değeri gibi işlenebilirlik özelliklerini de olumsuz etkilediğini göstermektedir. Bu kapsamda inşaat halindeki bir binada inceleme yapılmış ve yapıdaki hasarlar tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen hasarlara bağlı olarak yapıda onarım çalışmaları önerilerek takibi yapılmıştır.
Concrete admixtures began to be explored in the world in the 1870s. Since the beginning of the 1930s, researches about water reducing additives started to be carried out. Although such additives were used in concrete mixtures between 1940 and 1960, they did not become widespread as it was not known exactly what effect it would have. Conducted researches show that not adding the admixtures in specified rates negatively affects the mechanical properties such as strength and durability as well as the workabilty properties like setting time and slump value. In this context, an investigation was made in a building under construction and the damages in the building were determined. Depending on the damages detected, it was followed up by suggesting repair works in the building.
