Yerel Kültür-çağdaş Mimarlık İlişkisinin Ağa Han Mimarlık Ödüllü Filistin Müzesi Üzerinden Okunması

Abstract

Ağa Han Mimarlık Ödülü, 1977 yılında Ağa Han tarafından Müslüman nüfusun yoğun olduğu coğrafyalarda yaşayan tüm toplulukların ihtiyaçlarını ve isteklerini başarıyla karşılayan mimari projeleri belirlemek ve desteklemek için kurulmuştur. Üç yıllık dönemler halinde verilen ödül; çağdaş tasarım, sosyal konut, tarihi koruma, yeniden kullanım, peyzaj tasarımı ve çevrenin iyileştirilmesi alanlarında mimari mükemmellik örneklerini teşvik etmektedir. Günümüzde türünün en ünlü ve prestijli ödüllerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Ödülün verilmeye başlanılmasından bu yana 122 proje, bu ödüle layık görülmüştür. Çalışma kapsamında 2019 Ağa Han Mimarlık Ödülü’nü kazanan Filistin Müzesinin topoğrafya, çevre doku-doğa ile kurduğu ilişki, benzer yapıların üretilmesinde model olma, yerel malzeme ve doğal ışığın kullanımı, modern malzeme ve teknolojinin tasarımda kullanımı gibi birçok başlıkta, yerel ile moderni aynı potada eritip eritmediğinin analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda incelenen Ağa Han Mimarlık Ödüllü Müze projesinin ödül almasını sağlayan kriterler tespit edilmiş, modern ve yereli ne kadar kesiştirdiği tartışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda kültürel kimliğin güçlü bir örneği olarak karşımıza çıkan Filistin Müzesinde yerelin çağdaşla başarılı bir şekilde sentezlenerek kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture was established in 1977 by the Aga Khan to identify and support architectural projects that successfully meet the needs and demands of all communities living in Muslim populated geographies. Award given in three-year periods; promotes examples of architectural excellence in contemporary design, social housing, historic preservation, reuse, landscape design, and environmental improvement. Today it is considered one of the most famous and prestigious awards of its kind. Since the award was given, 122 projects have been deemed worthy of this award.The aim of the study is to analyze whether the Palestinian Museum, which won the 2019 Aga Khan Award for Architecture, melts local and modern in the same crucible in many titles such as topography, environmental texture-relationship with nature, being a model in the production of similar buildings, the use of local materials and natural light, the use of modern materials and technology in design. In this direction, the criteria for the Aga Khan for Architecture Award-winning Museum project to be awarded were determined, and it was discussed how much it intersected the modern and the local. As a result of the study, it was determined that the local was successfully synthesized and used with the contemporary in the Palestinian Museum, which is a strong example of cultural identity.
