Aerogels are a novel class of smart porous materials composed of three-dimensional networks. Recently, aerogels with the advantages of ultra-low density, high porosity, tunable particle and pore sizes, and biocompatibility have been regarded as promising carriers for the design of delivery systems. Recently, aerogels have also been provided with antibacterial activity through loading of antibacterial agents, incorporation of metal/metal oxides and via surface functionalization and coating with various functional groups. In this mini-review, the synthesis of aerogels from both conventional and low-cost precursors is reported and examples of aerogels displaying antibacterial properties are summarized. In order to ensure sustainability in the fishing and wild harvest, it is necessary to focus on aquaculture activities. When it is planned to open a new aquaculture facility, the first step to be taken is to determine the most suitable establishment site. Suitable site selection affects both the success and sustainability of any aquaculture development. The aim of this study is to determine the most suitable areas to establish shrimp farming facilities in the Mediterranean Region of Turkey by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which are among the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making methods and Geographic Information Systems. In the first stage, analyses of airports, ports, hotels and feed mill businesses in the Mediterranean Region were conducted. Second stage study was performed on the most suitable area determined as a result of the analysis. Within the scope of this purpose, eleven sub-criteria that will affect the facility location were determined under three main criteria (land, water availability, infrastructure and socio-economic). Constraint criteria were determined to exclude areas where shrimp farming facilities are not allowed to be established. As a result of the analysis, it was specified that 0.01% of the study area is highly suitable, 0.87% suitable, 4.69% moderately suitable and 94.43% unsuitable. In order to reveal more about the condition we systematically reviewed movies that depict 2e individuals to reveal how they are portrayed. Eight movies were analyzed in depth. The selected movies were independently watched and encoded. As a result, a total of 54 codes were generated, which were combined under six themes, most themes having two categories (i.e., positive versus negative or strengths versus weaknesses). Despite being perceived more positively on the cognitive themes, they are portrayed mostly negatively on the socioemotional and behavioral themes. Since a non-conductive cross arm structure is exposed to constant loading for a very long time, creep is one of the main factors that cause structural failure. In this state, the structure experiences creep deformation, which can result in serviceability problems, stress redistribution, pre-stress loss, and the failure of structural elements. These issues can be resolved by assessing the creep trends and properties of the structure, which can forecast its serviceability and long-term mechanical performance. Hence, the principles, approaches, and characteristics of creep are used to comprehend and analyse the behaviour of wood and composite cantilever structures under long-term loads. The development of appropriate creep methods and approaches to non-conductive cross arm construction is given particular attention in this literature review, including suitable mitigation strategies such as sleeve installation, the addition of bracing systems, and the inclusion of cross arm beams in the core structure. Thus, this article delivers a state-of-the-art review of creep properties, as well as an analysis of non-conductive cross arm structures using experimental approaches. Synthetic organic dyes are currently known as water pollutants. Such dyes are widely used in a variety of industries, including textiles, tanning, cosmetics, and food stuff, as well as in human and veterinary healthcare. They are classified as reactive, dispersed, indigo, azo, sulphur, and basic dyes. They are found in liquid wastes from textile washing and pose a serious risk to the receiving water environment's quality, if not purified. Because of their widespread use and large-scale production, various synthetic dyes have found their way into various parts of the water and soil ecosystems. In fact, because these dyes and pigments are not biodegradable, their presence can cause drastic changes in the ecological conditions of aquatic animals and plants. This will have a negative impact on the aquatic environment's stability, resulting in serious and significant damages (algal blooms, oxygen depletion, colour, turbidity and bad smells), long-term dangers (persistence, bioaccumulation of cancer-causing aromatic products, and emergence of chlorination side products), and carcinogenic and teratogenic effects. In the study, while considering this development process, especially legal regulations and amendments for zoning implementations, development readjustment share rate and content and zoning amnesties brought to buildings against the zoning legislation were emphasized. The Zoning Laws in Turkey until today, are constructed according to the principle of equal proportion method. The study area is situated within the boundaries of Catkoy within the Taurus Mountains region. The aim of this study is to determine the mineralogical and petrographic properties of bauxites and to classify bauxite ores based on macro observations. It also aims to determine the parent material of bauxite ores by analyzing the geochemical properties of bauxite, terra rossa, and the adjacent rocks. The samples were subjected to chemical analysis using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry and mineralogical investigation using X-ray diffraction and microscopic techniques. The bauxite is composed of varying proportions of diaspore, hematite, and clay minerals. The ore paragenesis study has been observed to comprise diaspore, hematite, kaolinite, anatase, rutile, sphene, calcite, muscovite, magnetite, quartz, goethite, chlorite, amorphous iron- and aluminum-hydroxide, gibbsite, boehmite, illite, specularite, epidote, chalcedony, amphibole, and psilomelane. The internal composition of bauxite allows for the identification of distinct ore types, characterized by varying appearances. The ore types under consideration are black bauxite, brown bauxite, oolitic bauxite and clay bauxite. The chemical composition of bauxites is typically 54% Al2O3, 26% Fe2O3, 5% SiO2, 3% TiO2 and less than 1% other major oxides. The modulus values of these bauxites exhibit a range of 1.4-91.2, with an average of 34.66. It is therefore concluded that they are of first quality. The geochemical data lend support to the hypothesis that limestone was transformed into terra rossa, which in turn was transformed into bauxite. It is believed that bauxite ores were formed before metamorphism and continued to be formed for a long time after metamorphism. Bauxites were formed during the Late Triassic to Early Jurassic interval on Upper Permian-aged carbonate rocks and Lower Triassic-aged shale, sandstone, and limestone units. It has always been important to conserve energy by making thermal insulation in buildings which are one of the places where energy is used the most, and subsequently reducing environmental pollution as a result. The importance of existing thermal insulation materials in maintaining heat is already known. However, the damage they cause to the environment in their production is great, therefore insomuch that the manufacture and use of some insulation materials are prohibited. As a result, it is known that studies have been carried out to produce alternative thermal insulation materials. In this study, as a thermal insulation material, the usability of sheep wool which is an environmentally friendly, economical, and natural fiber, has been researched. A new insulation board was produced by adding boron to sheep wool, and this new insulation board was compared with rock wool and expanded polystyrene (EPS), which are widely used today. To carry out the experimental studies, an experiment building with full size and 3 rooms had been built. First, the building was completely covered with rock wool and the effect of the facades on the temperature and moisture in the environment was observed. Afterwards, as one room was covered with EPS and the other room was covered by the boron doped sheep wool insulation material, the insulation materials were compared wtih one another. In the experimental studies that was carried out, while rock wool gave the best results in ambient and surface temperature tests, EPS provided the best insulation in the moisture test. In the sound test, while rock wool and EPS absorbed the sound at very close decibel levels, the boron-doped sheep wool insulation material provided a higher level of sound insulation. Sugar palm fibre (SPF) has emerged as promising fibre reinforcement in composite industries to form high-strength and stiffness biocomposites. Due to environmental concerns such as air pollution and global warming, the global community has worked together to replace conventional plastic with biomass waste like SPF in various product types. Traditionally, sugar palm by-products are useful for various traditional uses such as traditional foods, gula kabung, and alcohol, while SPF is applied as rope, brooms and brushes. Numerous researchers have taken initiatives to implement SPF in the packaging sector and transport uses such as lifeguard boats. Some works have proved that SPF-reinforced polymer composites exhibit high mechanical strength and remarkable properties in thermal degradations. However, like other lignocellulosic fibres, the SPF exhibits high water absorption properties, which causes problems binding with thermoplastic matrix, reducing its performance. Based on the literature survey, no review has been carried out on discussing the mechanical and thermal behaviour of SPF-reinforced thermoplastic composites. Hence, the current review aims to establish concise and collective findings from previous works on SPF/thermoplastic composites to provide a good source of literature for further research on this topic.
