Benzer doğal çevrelerde veya yakın konumlarda olmalarına rağmen, yörelerin vernaküler mimari biçimlenişlerinde sosyokültürel anlayışlara bağlı olarak farklılıklar görülebilir. Bu çalışma, iki alan çalışması örneği üzerinde vernaküler mimariyi çevresel ve kültürel tüm yönleriyle ele almayı amaçlamıştır. Çalışmada Orta Torosların iki yamacında, neredeyse sırt sırta konumlanmış olan Akseki ve Taşkent yörelerinin sivil mimarilerinin genel özellikleri incelenerek karşılaştırılmış, benzer ve farklı yönleri vernaküler mimari bağlamında ortaya konulmuştur.The concept of vernacular architecture defines an architecture that is in harmony with the natural environment it is in, shaped according to the geographical and climatic conditions of a region, the opportunities offered by the local building materials and the cultural accumulations of the society in which it is produced; and mostly deals with traditional residential buildings which its users are the people who are building them. Although they are in similar natural environments or in close locations, differences can be seen in the vernacular architectural formation of the regions depending on sociocultural features. This study aimed to deal with all environmental and cultural aspects of vernacular architecture on two field studies.
