In this framework, studies were carried out to determine the environmental conditions (oxic-anoxic) in which the Saytepe Formation limestones were deposited, whether there was terrestrial detrital development in the basin during the deposition, and whether the original characteristics of the carbonate phase were preserved. The light gray colored limestones forming the dominant lithology of the Saytepe Formation are thin-medium bedded, laminated at some levels, and show micro-scale faulting in the thin-sections where synsedimentary deformation is effective. The Saytepe Formation is overlain by the Late Jurassic Hacıalabaz Formation from below with an angular unconformity, while it is overlain by the Late Cretaceous aged Taşkent Melange with a tectonic contact and by the Middle Eocene aged Çobanağacık limestone with an angular unconformity. The Saytepe Formation has developed from bottom to top as wackestone, packstone, dolomitic mudstone-wackestone, wackestone-mudstone, wackestone, and mudstone microfacies. The Saytepe Formation was deposited in a shallow marine environment according to its sedimentological and paleontological characteristics.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCretaceousLimestoneSaytepeShallow MarineThe Petrographical Properties of the Late Cretaceous Aged the Saytepe Formation Carbonates Around Hadim (konya, Türkiye)Conference Object
