Therefore, keeping regular records on occupational health and safety issues improves the quality of statistical accident analysis. This study covers the data and analyzes of occupational accidents that the employees of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs were exposed to during the year. The data includes information such as the time interval in which the accident occurred, the age of the employee who was exposed to the accident, education status, work experience, body parts most affected by the accident, and covers the years 2010-2022. The study aims to provide information about the frequency, types, causes, and consequences of occupational accidents. Occupational accident data has been evaluated statistically, and according to the results of the analysis, the most common occupational accidents occur due to object collision, falls and traffic accidents. In addition, It has been observed that workers between the ages of 31-40 are mostly exposed to work accidents. In terms of body region, it was determined that there were lower, upper extremity, multiple injuries, head and waist injuries. As a result, this study provides an idea to the municipal authorities about the measures to be taken to reduce the frequency of occupational accidents. These measures include training employees, reviewing occupational safety rules, and taking necessary measures for the correct use of equipment. This study has the potential to set an example for other similar institutions and workplaces, such as Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, by making statistical inferences.. © 2023 IMCET 2023 - Proceedings of the 28th International Mining Congress and Exhibition of Turkey.
