Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı foraminifer test duvarı bileşimleri için tür sayılarını belirlemektir. Taksonomik olarak tür tanımlaması kapsamında, laboratuvarda binoküler mikroskop altında her bir sediment örneğinin bentik foraminiferleri ayrılmıştır. Toplam 24 porselen test duvarlı, 8 aglütinant test duvarlı ve 13 hiyalin test duvarlı bentik foraminifer türü tespit edilmiştir. Porselen test duvarlı foraminiferler için tür sayısı 2 ile 21, birey sayısı 3 ile 159 arasında değişmektedir. Aglütinant test duvarlı foraminiferler için tür sayısı 0 ile 3 arasında, birey sayısı 0 ile 4 arasında değişmektedir. Hiyalin test duvarlı foraminiferler için tür sayısı 1 ile 10 arasında, birey sayısı 1 ile 41 arasında değişmektedir. İncelenen alanda agglütinant test duvarlı foraminiferlerin tüm lokasyonlarda çok az olduğu, porselen test duvarlı foraminiferlerın ise dominant olduğu gözlenmiştir.In this study carried out along the coasts of İztuzu (Dalyan, Muğla), sediment samples containing benthic foraminifera were collected from the sea floor from northwest to southeast. The aim of this study is to determine the species numbers for each foraminifer test wall compositions. In the scope of taxonomically species identification, the benthic foraminifera of each sediment samples were separated under binocular microscope in the laboratory. A total of 24 porcelain test walled, 8 agglutinated test walled and 13 hyaline test walled benthic foraminifera species were determined. The numbers of species range between 2 and 21, the numbers of individuals range between 3 and 159 for porcelain test walled foraminifera. The numbers of species range between 0 and 3, the numbers of individuals range between 0 and 4 for agglutinated test walled foraminifera. The numbers of species range between 1 and 10, the numbers of individuals range between 1 and 41 for hyaline test walled foraminifera.
