In this thesis, in order to present a symbiotic solution, catalytic pyrolysis of thermoplastic type polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polypropylene (PP) plastic wastes with treatment sludge obtained from the physicochemical treatment of marble processing plant wastewater, which is another waste type, was administered. Four different catalysts were produced to reveal the catalytic effect of the catalysts produced from the wastewater treatment sludge of the marble processing plant, the coagulant substance and the cut marble type, within the pyrolysis process of PET and PP wastes. Although there is a difference between the catalysts, K1 catalyst was chosen because there was no effect to affect the process. Within the K1 catalyst pyrolysis study of PET and PP wastes, the effects of pyrolysis temperature, catalyst dose and residence time were determined by characterization studies on pyrolysis products (char, liquid and gas). In PET+K1 pyrolysis studies, optimum results were obtained within the presence of 40% K1 catalyst at 500 C pyrolysis temperature, and the results obtained at 10% K1 dose for PP waste were found to be more efficient compared to other catalyst doses. Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX) component yields in fluid phases in pyrolysis products were found to be quite efficient for PET+K1 pyrolysis. The effect of waiting was determined that 10 minutes of waiting time would be sufficient for both plastic wastes. The study results that, with the findings obtained by using two different wastes, instead of mixing both marble processing plant wastewater treatment sludge and PET and PP plastic waste into the environment as waste, by symbiotic work, high value-added material recovery and three different products (char, pyrolytic liquid and gaseous) was obtained.en_US
