Abstract: Dünyada sanayileşmeyle birlikte ortaya çıkan teknolojik gelişmeler ve artan nüfus, enerji talebinin artmasına ve mevcut enerji kaynaklarının tükenmesine neden olmuştur.
Technological developments and increasing population in conjunction with industrialization have led to an increase in energy demand and depletion of existing energy resources in the world. Fossil energy sources are widely used to meet the energy needs of buildings, which have a large margin in energy consumption. Fossil resources used from past to present have caused to problems such as environmental pollution, a rise in greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. To prevent these problems, it is necessary to reduce the use of fossil energy sources and to expand utilization of eco- friendly renewable energy sources. Solar energy is an easily accessible, clean, sustainable renewable energy source. Spreading the usage of photovoltaic (PV) systems which are, used to convert solar energy into electrical energy, is the most important step for a clean environment. Photovoltaic systems have high initial investment costs and low efficiency. For this reason, before installing photovoltaic systems, various simulation tools are applied to determine the energy production potential and efficiency of it. However, there are differences between the actual energy production data and the simulation data of each building. This study aims to compare the PVsyst simulation data of a photovoltaic system integrated and commissioned in the building with the actual energy production data. For this purpose, the photovoltaic system integrated on the roof of an existing factory building in Beyşehir district of Konya province has been examined within the thesis. PVsyst (Photovoltaic Systems) 7.2.14 simulation program was used for 3D simulation analysis of the factory building. The brands and models of the panel and inverter were inputted in PVsyst program to create the same system as in the analyzed factory building. The location of the factory building was marked in the PVsyst program, and the meteorological data were produced synthetically via the Meteonorm 8 database. After the necessary definitions of the factory building were made, the simulation was carried out. The installed power of the system is 939.6 kWp. The energy production data and system losses of the factory building were analyzed through the result report by the simulation program. In this study, the actual energy production data of the photovoltaic system integrated in the building connected to the network for 2021 and the energy production data by 3D shading analysis in the PVsyst simulation program were compared. By values were given to the independent variables of the system such as dust and snow loss, shading loss, temperature loss, wiring loss, module and string mismatch loss, panel loss, inverter loss, their effect on energy production was examined from the simulation results. The annual energy amount of the system transferring to the network is 1345.1 MWh. The performance rate of the system is 83.37%. The energy production data of the factory building for 2021 is 1372.2 MWh. The actual production data is 27.1 MWh more than the simulation data. It has been determined that there is a 2% difference between the production data by the simulation and the actual energy production values of 2021. The effect of independent variables on the difference was examined.
