Our department was established with the decision of the Senate of University dated 17.01.2020 and numbered 01-09 and the letters of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) dated 6.4.2020 and numbered 25254. It is the conceptual development of products produced in the industry, intended for the end user, by considering criteria such as functionality, suitability to the preferences of the target audience and the needs of the user, and designing them as a new product suitable for mass production. While industrial designers generally focus on the functionality, manufacturability and physical form of a product, they take an active role in the entire product development process. Graduates of this program; They can work in the public or private sector. They can also practice their profession as industrial designers in private design offices, their own design offices and/or workshops, or provide consultancy. In our country, graduates of the department can find the opportunity to work in fields such as furniture and furniture accessories, fair stands, white goods, small household appliances, glass and ceramic goods, jewelry and accessory design, vehicle design, bathroom and kitchen ceramic product design.
