Description
The Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program is an area that can be rapidly integrated into the evolving and many businesses in Turkey. Within the program, the necessary knowledge and technical skills training is provided for heating, cooling, air conditioning, ventilation and natural gas sectors. They can carry out the planned activities for the design, installation and operation of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems of buildings, vehicles, cold stores. The duration of the program is 2 years and the students make 30-day industry-based training at the end of each academic year. The student who completes the training and internship period, recognizes the main elements and equipments used in the air conditioning and cooling system, read the projects and draws them as computer aided, calculates the heat loads depending on the system choice, becomes able to make the installation and connections with the right technique. Students who successfully complete the Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program in the heating, cooling, air conditioning, ventilation, natural gas sectors (hotels, mechanical installation project drawing construction firms, automotive, hospitals, sea transportation vehicles, factories), also in related public institutions and organizations is employed. Graduated students can transfer to the Mechanical Engineering and Energy Engineering Departments vertically if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
