Konya Technical University Industrial Engineering Department was established in 1992 and gave its first graduates in 1996. In the fall semester of 1997 the MSc Program, in the fall semester of 2003 After Hours Education non-thesis MSc Program, in the fall semester of 2015 the PhD program, and in 2018 Occupatinal Safety non-thesis MSc Program were opened. Education continues in three departments: Industrial Engineering, Operations Research and Ergonomics. The language of the program is Turkish. The courses are conducted theoretically and practically in Konya Technical University Industrial Engineering Department. Although there are only courses with theoretical part, there are also courses with theoretical and practical part. Since the fall semester of the 2007-2008 academic year, many of our students are sent abroad through the ERASMUS program. The department has been accredited by MÜDEK since 30 September 2011. In the Department of Industrial Engineering, MSc and PhD programs are carried out efficiently besides the undergraduate program. Due to the vital importance of well-trained manpower in the development of the country and in international competition areas, maximum efforts are made to increase the quality of both undergraduate and graduate education to the extent of the current opportunities of our department and faculty. It should never be forgotten that youth, especially well-educated university youth have an important place and share in the development and progress of a country in economic, social and cultural aspects. Admissions Requirements: Candidates who will be admitted to Konya Technical University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Industrial Engineering Department must graduate from high school or equivalent schools and get sufficient points for the student selection exams conducted throughout the country for that academic year. Documents required for new students who are entitled to enroll with the central university exam are also announced to the students on the university website. Apart from this, the acceptance of students from abroad or foreign nationality is made according to the directive of acceptance from abroad or foreign students at the associate and undergraduate level of Konya Technical University. In addition, a limited number of students are admitted to the department with a quota through lateral and vertical external applications. Regulations on lateral and vertical external transfer requirements and application can be accessed from the university web page. As stated in "Konya Technical University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Training and Examination Regulation", those who will enroll in the Industrial Engineering undergraduate department should not be enrolled in another formal education, open education with a quota limitation or distance education undergraduate program.
